I was just watching Thunder (as you are no doubt doing), and I think I just heard Lenny Lane and Lodi talk about going to a club and "chasing some rats." Well being as they were in Binghamton, NY and I went to school at SUNY there I can tell you that they were probably making a reference to the bar half a block down State Street called the "Rathskeller."
Not that big a deal since probably every college town has a bar called the "Rathskeller," but I still think it's neat that they threw a bone to the local crowd.
I watched Thunder.
My take is this: Either Busch, et al are idiots or they just don't care. They have to care though, big money is on the line.
I liken the decisions being made to New Coke. Remember about 15 years ago? I was at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium when they unveiled that crap. They were GIVING it away and people still would not drink it (it was 98 degrees in the shade that day, too.) How could ANYbody be stupid enough to think that Coke drinkers wanted some Pepsi tasting crap?
Same thing here. How could anybody ever think Sullivan could be a good booker? He has already proven in the past that he sucks at the job.
It is mind-boggling.
Basic strategy of Blackjack differs depending upon what book you may read. However, I know of NONE that says to hit a hard 18, EVER.
In addition to this letter, Big Grouchy, SkrtchPlyr, TorySan and DDT Digest's own Bill chimed in with similar thoughts.
Enjoy every second of Hogan in the ring and in interviews...i hope he comes out for three different blocks on thursday just to piss off ur sorry ass...
No matter what you say, Hogan is still one of the biggest draws in wrestling. As can bee seen by the results of three months withouthim, look what happend...sucks for u and great for me...no extra pay for you to cover hogan
Interesting tidbit: I was reading The Torch and The Wrestling Observer a few days ago and learned that last week's Thunder did a 2.3 rating. (Hogan's segment got a 2.5 rating.) In comparison, the week before popped a 2.7 rating. I'll refrain from the obvious comment for the sake of good this time.
