The possibility of a Four Horsemen reunion in 1998 really began to take shape when Dean Malenko began to personally push the issue, starting on the 7/16/98 Thunder (click the link to see the pictures and hear Arn's speech, and press the [Back] button when you are done).
But that wasn't the end of it. Dean Malenko would make another plea on the 7/25/98 edition of WCW Saturday Night. As a result, Gene Okerlund wanted a clarification from Arn, and he got one on the 7/27/98 Nitro (click the link to see the picture and hear Arn's speech, and press the [Back] button when you are done).
On the 8/2/98 edition of Sunday {Pro}, Steve "Mongo" McMichael would claim that he is going to convince Arn to get The Four Horsemen back together. A new montage of Arn's career was played on the 8/5/98 edition of Thunder. On the 8/15/98 WCW Saturday Night, Dean Malenko would make another plea to Arn.
Since Dean Malenko and Mongo weren't getting anywhere, it was up to J.J. Dillon. On the 8/31 Nitro, J.J. played a fantastic tape of the promo tape that Arn sent to Mid-Atlantic wrestling to get himself hired in 1984. J.J. went so far as to bring out Chris Benoit and Mongo, all to seemingly no avail.
