By Greg R. from Folsom, CA
- Yuji Nagata def. Marty Jannetty with the Nagata-lock
- The funniest line of the night came from a kid in the seat behind me. Before the match, the curtain split a bit and Marty was visible for a few seconds, stretching. The kid's friend, an obvious mark who must've been attending his first live show, yelled, "Look, there's Marty Jannetty!" The kid behind me replied, in a great deadpan voice, "So?". I almost choked on my popcorn... ;)
- Disco Inferno def. Scotty Riggs with a jumping piledriver
- Before the match, Riggs offered Disco a spot in the Flock, to which Disco replied, "Go Flock yourself". DI pulled a pretty good pop with that remark. BTW, I thought this was the best match of the night...
- Juvy/Psicosis def. Damien/Ciclope in a Lucha Libre match
- Juvy scored the pin over Damien after a Juvy-driver
- Eddy Guerrero def. Ultimo Dragon with a frog splash
- Second best match of the night
- Stevie Ray def. Steve "Mongo" McMichael
- Stevie Ray came out to a big pop... I guess the crowd thought the Harlem Heat music signified Booker T's return... and ripped into Benoit and the Horsemen. This brought out Mongo, who had to force Stevie Ray to wrestle. After Mongo accidentally hit the ref, Stevie Ray clocked Mongo with the TV belt to secure the win.
- DOUBLE MAIN EVENT
- Sting def. The Giant with a second-rope Scorpion Deathdrop
- Boring, boring, boring... but then again, I've come to expect it from these two...
- Goldberg def. Curt Hennig with the Spear/Jackhammer
- This was a little better than I expected, despite quite a bit of stalling on Hennig's part. Hennig actually controlled most of the match, working on Goldberg's knee. Goldberg finally caught his second wind, and, well, you know the rest.
