WCW Worldwide - Saturday, 10/16/99
- Um,
bad things happen at the end of this weeks report.
Youll know it when you get there.
- The
most important story in WCW is...two people drinking
outside the ring.
- Larry
brings up Nash's forced retirement.
- Back
to Nitro 10/4, with the Outsiders and Bobby.
- Tony
somehow draws a connection to Halloween Havoc.
- Back
to Nitro again, where Harlem Heat throws out a
challenge to Outsiders and get punked by the
First Family.
- Mean
Gene with Disco Inferno, Cruiserweight Champion
- Gene
talks about 'a black cloud of controversy' about
Disco being champ.
- Disco's
confused...
- Gene
talks about it being a tainted victory...
- Did
I miss something? I don't remember any screw job.
- Disco
complains about Mean Gene putting him down all
the time.
- Disco:
"You patronize Hogan and all those other
guys, why not me?"
- Gene:
"I don't have to put you over."
- Disco:
"I thought it was the job of the guy doing
the interview to get the talent over?"
- Gene
says again that the
victory over Psychosis was
- Disco
asks if Gene's going put it on the Hotline
- Gene
agrees, so Disco says he's getting his own
Hotline.
- Gene
says the story's going get out.
- I'm
soooo confused. I mean, I think I'm supposed to
be getting the impression that they're talking
about the Lenny/Lodi banishment, but Gene keeps
talking about the match, as if Disco had used an
international object or something.
- Next
up, dueling smashing cars.
- Larry says that Sid said, "Touch me and lose
the shot at the belt."
- So,
Sid still gets to be champion after Havoc, if the
match happens.
- We
recap Sid playing games with Goldberg's car.
- And
as
I Fast Forward my tape through commercials
I hit the
end of the tape. D-oh!
- Apparently, we got some of the Bret/Benoit stuff,
a PPV lineup (nothing you dont know) and
two matches:
- Jamie Howard over Alan Funk via Sunset
Flip
- Kid Romeo over Mike Sanders
