WCW Worldwide - Saturday, 8/15/98
- "Former TV Champion?" Stevie Ray over Todd
Griffith by the Slap Jack.
- Stevie Ray squahses Griffith easily...
- Not much to talk about...
- Tony and Larry talk and hype the nWo vs nWo feud...
- Alex Wright (w/o the other 2 dancers) over Tim Cheeks by
reverse neckbreaker
- Hmm, that finish is strange. Last I remember,
before his injury, Alex was using a German Suplex
for his finish after his heel turn and a flying
back bodypress before it.
- Someone thought to do start a "USA USA"
chant, and it wasn't even Duggan!
- Cheeks gets a lot more offense then Griffith did,
but it was pretty much a squash as well.
- The Public Enemy over Tony Carr & Dusty Wolfe by the Drive By
- As usual on Worldwide, no tables.
- Jim Duggan over Fidel Sierra after a clothesline
- I'm not sure if I should feel upset or happy that the Kneedrop O' Doom wasn't used.
- Rey Mysterio Jr. over Psychosis by top rope 'rana
- Leave it to WCW to give one of their PPV matches
on the worst TV show the following week.
- And from what I heard about Road Wild, this was
probably the better match...too much to call, but
a lot of quick action and high flying.
- Psychosis had the edge at the end, but Mysterio
made his comeback for the win.
