WCW {Pro} - Sunday, 08/16/1998
- This week's introduction will be a quickie. To make a long story short, getting wisdom teeth pulled SUCKS. Even worse, the other side of my mouth still has to be done. But, enough of my maxillofacial misadventures, let's get started with the program...
- The {Pro} begins with Goldberg offering a challenge to Bryan Adams.
- The announcers promise a rundown of Road Wild on next week's show.
- They talk about Goldberg.
- From Monday Nitro (07/27/1998): Goldberg makes an example out of Bryan Adams.
- Sign: "Hogan Has Saggy Tits." Hey, I just call it as I see it.
- Let's see. Bryan Adams goes from being slaughtered by Kane to being slaughtered by Goldberg. What a wise career move.
- Lee Marshall interviews Kim and Spice of The Nitro Girls.
- They talk about Booker T allowing Stevie Ray access to defend the TV Title.
- From Monday Nitro (08/03/1998): Stevie Ray vs. The #2 competitor from Mexico, Lizmark, Jr.
- Tony S. (Concerning Stevie Ray telling Mean Gene that he was given authority to defend the TV Title): "Hey, we've been up here too long, you can't fool us!"
- I now give you all permission to leave your computer for thirty seconds to take a laughter break. No more, no less. :)
- Anyway, Lizmark wins this by countout when Chavo distracts Stevie Ray and gives chase. This segment was probably your last opportunity to see Lizmark get a win this year,=.
- Starburst Road Report: WCW invades the home state of their primary rival when Nitro airs from Hartford, CT.
- The announcers talk about Jimmy Hart.
- From WCW Worldwide (08/08/1998): Hugh Morrus (w/Hart and a face pop) makes The Gambler (w/a need for Rogaine and too much chest hair) lose his shirt.
- Do any of you high rollers want to bet on The Gambler? Me neither.
- They talk about Meng.
- They talk about the feud between Saturn and Kanyon.
- From WCWSN (08/08/1998): Saturn vs. Kanyon
- This week in WCW Motorsports -- Since they did not mention the finishing position of Lance Hooper's ride, it is assumed that Hooper lost big.
- Lee Marshall interviews Diamond Dallas Page
- DDP talks about how Karl Malone and himself share a great work ethic.
- DDP mentions Leno's preparation.
- Well, what do you know! DDP did not mention "shoot" during this segment!
- From WCW Thunder (08/05/1998): Eddy "Steady" Guerrero vs. Disco Inferno.
- One thing that pisses me off is that they took away Disco's Chartbuster so that Ed "The Man of 1,004 Gimmicks" Leslie could use it. Seeing that the Disciple rarely uses this move, I have to ask, "WHY?!?"
- They talk about both factions of the nWo going at it.
- From WCWSN (08/08/1998): Vincent and Bryan Adams vs. Lex Luger and Kevin Nash.
- To end the {Pro}, they say the Wolfpac and nWo-Hollywood are at each other's throats.
- No exclusives this week, and I'm betting my car that there won't be any next week. Nevertheless, thanks for reading!
