- It's time for WCW {Pro} on Spring Stampede weekend. Think Scott will
remind us about the PPV?
- Thanks to Bobby Clark who identified
last week's jobbers as Frankie Lancaster and Butch Long.
- Well, I'm only one week away from attending a WCW event here in Charlotte.
Ric Flair, as many of the sheets covering the Flair situation have noted, will
not be on the card. I'll be sure to write up a full house show report.
- Now on to the {Pro}...
- The {Pro} begins with Randy Savage laid out in the parking lot from Nitro
two weeks ago.
- Scott chats about how Nitro is the number one show on cable. Sorry, not
this week, Scott.
- More Nitro highlights air including Sting/Nash.
- Lee Marshall chats with Diamond Dallas Page about next week's house show.
- {Pro} Exclusive #1: Disorderly Conduct defeated Sumo Fuji and Judo Suwa
after a double axe handle/neckbreak combo
- All right! DC finally gets out of the Paywinda cellar with
their first victory of the year
- Tenay lauds Fuji and Suwa as a successful tag team duo direct from
Tokyo. Whatever.
- Mike Mean controls early with some forearm shots on Fuji.
- Suwa is tagged in and has a brief offensive flurry.
- Tough Tom takes over for DC.
- Tag to Mike Mean on the top turnbuckle, who executes a double axe handle
on Suwa at the same time Tom gives him a neckbreaker.
- Scott and Larry discuss the PPV tag match, then show a Worldwide replay of
Giant vs. John Nord
- Larry knocks Rick Rude and Curt Hennig a bit, then Hennig vs. Niedhart
from Saturday Night is aired.
- This Week in WCW Motorsports airs. Chad Fortune and another Powerplant
wrestler are in the pit.
- Lee Marshall interviews Hacksaw Jim Duggan
- Hacksaw's taking on Scott "Flash" Norton at the house show.
- Hacksaw puts down a trash can and starts hitting it with his two-by-
four.
- Hacksaw has his "peop-les" wide open, scanning for the nWo. Duggan
attended the Dusty Rhodes School of Linguistics.
- From Thunder, Goldberg throws around the Flock.
- Scott and Larry discuss DDP/Raven and remind us to make that all-important
phone call.
- {Pro} Exclusive #2: Yugi Nagata (w/ Sonny Onoo) defeated Bobby Blaze with
the Nagata Lock
- Tenay claims that Nagata has lost only once.
- Nagata controls early, working on Blaze's leg.
- Yuji no sells a few of Blaze's punches.
- Finally Blaze nails Nagata with a Russian Leg Sweep.
- Outside the ring, Sonny Onoo delivers an axe kick to Blaze's back.
- Nagata goes back to working on Blaze's leg.
- Blaze taps out even before Nagata fully applies the Nagata Lock.
