WCW {Pro} - Saturday, 04/11/98
WCW {Pro} - Saturday 04/11/98
- Welcome back to WCW {Pro}. Thanks to Todd S. for filling in last
week.
- I tried to find pro wrestling on French public television, but instead I
saw a lot of dubbed American films. Oh well.
- We begin with a brief clip of Hogan vs. Piper, and Scott begins the pay-per-view hype.
- Larry chats about how he doesn't like the nWo, then more of the
Hogan/Piper match from Nitro is aired.
- Lee Marshall chats with Rick Steiner and Ted Dibiase about an upcoming
house show.
- {Pro} Exclusive #1: Bobby Walker and Bobby Eaton (w/Teddy Long) defeated
Unnamed Jobbers after the Alabama Jam
- Sigh, this is the second time they've cut out the jobbers intros
completely. If anyone watched the {Pro} and could identify these jobbers, let
me know.
- Anyway, Walker and Eaton control throughout.
- Walker continues to impress me. He works most of the match.
- The Jobbers doubleteam on Walker, but he manages to tag Eaton, who
cleans house.
- Eaton nails the leg drop off the top rope for the pin.
- Scott introduces a Worldwide replay of DDP vs. Saturn.
- Adams vs. British Bulldog from WCW Saturday Night is aired.
- Booker T. vs. Curt Hennig from Nitro is shown.
- Lee Marshall chats with Ray Traylor about an upcoming house show.
- Scott and Larry do the usual "you can't miss the pay-per-view" talk, then
introduce {Pro}'s last exclusive
- {Pro} Exclusive #2: "Gentleman" Chris Adams defeated "Squire" Dave Taylor
after the Superkick
- Well, I guess they're burying a fired Dave Taylor by showing old
jobs.
- Taylor controls early in the Battle of the Brits.
- Dave goes for a double-underhook suplex but Adams manages to escape.
- Adams with a belly-to-belly suplex followed by a few forearm shots.
- Adams signals and delivers a Superkick, followed by a pin.
