WCW {Pro} - Saturday, 03/28/98
WCW {Pro} - Saturday, 03/28/98
- Welcome back to WCW {Pro}. First and foremost, I'll be out of the country
next week, so DDT Digest needs a report for the 4/4/98 show. If you get the
show and want to write a report, please let let me know. Thanks!
- Second, this report is a bit late because I spent the weekend at the
Okefenokee Swamp. One wrestling-related note from the trip: During a rest
stop I heard the nWo "B-Team" music on a radio commericial for motorcycles, so
I guess the music is public domain.
- The {Pro} begins with a replay of Raven vs. Chris Benoit from the 3/16/98
Nitro.
- Lee Marshall chats with Lex Luger about an upcoming Charlotte house show.
The $25 seats for this show sold out in four minutes.
- Pro Exclusive #1: Bobby Walker and Jim Powers (w/ Teddy Long) defeated
Unnamed Jobbers after "Quittin' Time"
- The match immediately started, so I'm guessing the interview cut out
the jobbers' intros.
- Walker and Powers control throughout.
- Walker shows off some wrestling skill. He has improved quite a bit.
- Powers joins the fun, and nails Jobber #2 with a powerslam.
- Bobby's back in, and nails Jobber #2 with "Quittin' Time."
- Congrats to Bobby for keeping his job, by the way.
- More Nitro highlights with the nWo
- Sting/Luger vs. Hogan/Savage from Nitro airs.
- Hennig/Steiner from Thunder airs.
- Scott and Larry babble about Scott Hall and the nWo more, then introduce
Pro's second exclusive
- {Pro} Exclusive #2: Scott Hall defeats Ray Traylor after the Outsider's Edge
- Wow! This is the best exclusive {Pro} has seen in a while.
- Hall throws some punches early and whips Traylor to the buckles.
- Ray really yells loud when selling moves.
- Big Bubba controls briefly
- Hall manages to apply the Razor's Edge for the victory.
- See you in two weeks. Again, if you can write next week's report,
please let me know.
