WCW {Pro} - Saturday, 2/14/98
By Marty and Todd S.
- The {Pro} started off with footage from the February 2nd Nitro. The
Nitro in which Macho Man Randy Savage took on Sting. Everyone knows what
happened in the end. Macho got out of the way of a Stinger Splash, and elbow
dropped Sting. Then, Hogan comes in and causes Macho to lose by DQ. An
argument ensues, and Luger comes out and nails Macho. Hogan stays in the
ring, while Macho is getting pummeled on the outside. Sting gets up from
behind Hogan, and then the nWo comes out. Sting knocks all of them off the
apron, and then Luger comes back to the ring. Then Schiavone, as usual, says,
"We are out of time, see ya next week!"
- Next, Lee Marshall interviews Tenay, who says how great Thunder is, and how it is coming to the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, (I am going to that)
- Scott and Larry discuss the Macho-Luger match for Superbrawl VIII. They say how Luger has racked everyone from the Giant to Sting. Wait......when did Luger rack Sting? Check your information Hudson.
- In a {pro} jobber main event exclusive, Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker defeated
Hardbody Harrison with a knee drop.
- You would think that buddy lee parker's finishing move is a
small package, but surprise, it is a flying knee drop
- Tenay said how great Harrison's record is, but to my understanding, he hasn't won a match yet. He has lost to as many jobbers as you can think of. Horowitz, Lee Parker (Not La Parka), and Greg Valentine, just to name a few.
- The only move Harrison got in was an irish whip into the corner, while Parker dominated with a top rope clothesline, a powerslam, and of course the flying knee drop.
- From WCW Saturday Night, Bill Goldberg defeated Meng, via Jackhammmer
- Goldberg sent Meng on his head with a slam, Meng had to be helped off after the program went off the air.
- Jimmy Hart tried to go off the top onto Goldberg, but it backfired. Stick to fighting Teddy Long, Mr. Hart.
- Goldberg tackled Meng, and put him into the jackhammer
- According to Scott Hudson, this was the longest match for Goldberg, six minutes long
- More talk about Superbrawl. On this telecast, they mentioned something to do with Superbrawl six times. Oh yes, once again it is most likely that Teddy Long, Jim Powers, Ice Train, Bobby Eaton, and Hardwork Bobby Walker......will.....not be at Superbrawl.
- From Worldwide, Ric Flair beat Barry Horowitz with a running lariat, just kidding, the figure four of course
- Usual Ric Flair, gets down early in match, then uses low blow on Horowitz
- Horowitz missed a drop kick, probably the 500th time in his career, and Flair put him in the figure four
- Lee Marshall said that horowitz was a talented veteran, veteran yes, talented hell no. Horowitz has won 2 matches in WCW. He shouldn't sign matches with Flair or Luger. He should sign matches with Harrison, or maybe Keith (I look like Diesel) Northcutt.
- Finally, John ( IF YOU DONT LIKE ME.......SEE BACK) Nord beat The Punisher, I mean, Cuadro Sierra, I mean, David Sierra
- Nord dominated, with a shouler tackle (Ultimate Warrior), a superplex (British Bulldog), and a camel clutch (Iron Sheik)
- This Sierra guy has changed his name three times. First he was the Punisher, then Cuadro Sierra, then David Sierra. Stick to one name, and don't fight anyone good anymore, because you are wasting my time. Don't fight at all!
- Underrated: Hardwork Bobby Walker and Jim Powers. Walker is talented, and Powers is as strong as Luger, but still they get no respect. They also have a great manager. Same with Bobby Eaton.
