WCW Monday Night Nitro - Monday, January 29th, 1996
- No introduction/thoughts before this show.
- Mongo/Eric/Bobby all hype up the Flair/Hogan match and the debut of The Road Warriors.
- Ric Flair w/Jimmy Hart Vs Hulk Hogan w/Miss Elizabeth
- WCW must want to get the viewers tuned in quickly.
- Flair gets the early offense like usual, Hogan comes backs with rights of his own.
- Flair works on the knee for the majority of the contest.
- Both men spend a lot of time on the floor on this match.
- Flair does his usual spots, Flair Flip in the corner and again they brawl on the floor.
- Late in the contest, Flair has the Figure Four hooked in the ring, but Hogan reverses of course.
- After a few more chops and rights, Arn Anderson comes running down and along with Jimmy Hart takes Miss Elizabeth's shoe, and gives the shoe to Flair. Flair pokes Hogan on the eye... 1-2-3.
- Your Winner: Ric Flair via pinfall after an eyepoke with a shoe.
- Savage comes out to protect Hogan.

- Faces of Fear Vs Road Warriors
- Talk about sloppy. This match was just that.
- Hard hitting contest between the two teams though.
- FOF work on the back of Animal for a good portion of the match.
- Hawk no-sells a pretty good looking piledriver from Meng.
- Most of the match is FOF head butting and delivering blows to Animal's back.
- Barbarian almost got caught with the Doomsday, but Meng prevents it.
- Seconds later, Hawk with a clothesline from off the top on Barbarian... 1-2-3.
- Your Winners: The Road Warriors via pinfall.
- Road Warriors of course want the Tag belts.
- Replay of the win.
- Gene is in the ring with Kevin Sullivan and Hugh Morrus.
- Sullivan continues to mention that Arn "gave me his word".
- Arn and Pillman come out and Sullivan mentions about ten times about Arn giving him his word.
- Arn quickly turns his attention to Pillman and questioning where he was.
- This soon turns into a brawl between all four men. Pillman even gets whipped with the belt or strap from Sullivan.
- Arn now wants a match against Sullivan and Morrus.
- Arn: "I'm not asking it, I'm demanding it".
- Pillman says he will get them out of this mess.

- Madusa Vs Sherri Martel
- This starts with Gene in the ring with Sherri, but Madusa comes out and attacks Sherri.
- This match has really nothing more than right hands and the occasional slam.
- Sherri reverses one of the power slams off the top into a cover on Madusa and gains the pinfall.
- Your Winner: Sherri Martel via pinfall
- Madusa delivers a German suplex on Sherri and referees come out to break things up.
- For the WCW World Heavyweight Title: (champion) Randy Savage Vs The Giant
- This isn't even a match. Rather a setup by Flair since they took out Hogan earlier.
- Savage is beaten up by Giant and Flair. Which includes several chair shots to Savage's back.
- Bischoff mentions that Hogan is hurt, and Sting and Luger aren't in the arena.
- Savage is just destroyed with choke slams and back breakers by Giant.
- Of course, after the majority of the damage is done, Hulk Hogan comes out with a chair and whacks everyone involved in the DOD with the steel chair, including Giant.
- Hogan has a hideous bandage on around his eye.
- Your Winner: No Contest.
- Flair comes over to the announcers' table and hypes up the double cage matches some more.
- Once the Giant comes over, all three announcers leave the area.
- Giant says he is going to beat Hogan, and Flair again, and then he hypes the cage matches.
- The Good: Ric Flair going over Hogan. Arn's segment was pretty good.
- The Bad: Hogan coming out and being the hero like every week. Sloppy tag team match.
- The Ugly: Madusa losing to Sherri. WCW makes a big deal for her to come in, and she loses her first real Nitro match? Smart.
