- We open the show with Tony Schiavone and David Crockett, who has returned after his injury at the hands of Nikita Koloff. Oddly, he seems perfectly fine.
- Black Bart, Ric Flair, The Andersons, The Sawyers and The Koloffs will be here today. Crockett seems elated at the prospect of seeing the Koloffs today, referring to Nikita as "that bald-headed geek". And, the "new" team in the NWA, The Midnight Express, will be here as well.
- Here's NWA National Heavyweight Champion Black Bart. Schiavone mentions that Ron Garvin has been reinstated. Black Bart says he's proven everything he needs to Garvin, so now he is going to break Garvin's back and tear his head off. Bart plans to take his anger out on today's opponent, The Italian Stallion.
- NWA National Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Ole & Arn Anderson vs. Roy George & Alan Martin
- Arn starts off by tearing Alan Martin apart.
- Ole Anderson in, works on the arm.
- Arn in. He is more malicious than Ole today.
- Arn tosses Martin into his own corner so George can come in to take some punishment.
- Ole in. Working on George on the mat.
- Ole not working on the arm...he's trying to make George pass out.
- Big knee to the head by Ole.
- Arn tagged in. Just manhandling the guy. Arn slows things down with an armbar on the left arm.
- Anderson slam by Arn.
- Ole tagged in...odd clipping for whatever reason.
- Slam, armbar, kicks. Arn tagged in.
- Ole tagged in. He comes off the top with a knee to the shoulder.
- Armbar, and George submits.

- Schiavone and Crockett are with the Koloffs. Nikita and Crockett are staring each other down. Ivan says that the Koloff family is ready for the Road Warriors and Ric Flair. Nikita speaks...says he is going to destroy Ric Flair. Crockett starts to talk back to Koloff. Apparently, Crockett is going to be the referee when Koloff wrestles Flair.
- Ivan Koloff vs. Gerald Findley
- Schiavone and Crockett are discussing the Koloffs' intimidation tactics.
- Ivan goes to work right away with basic power moves.
- Findley out of nowhere with a sunset flip and almost a three-count. He gets a couple dropkicks in, but Ivan comes back.
- Advantage traded a few times with basic power moves.
- Findley to the floor and then back in. Koloff with...well, I don't know what to call it...grabbing his opponent by the sides of his mouth and trying to stretch his face.
- Koloff off the second rope with a knee to the chest. Two count only...announcers are shocked, and so am I.
- Findley with a brief comeback. Findley thrown to the floor. Koloff slams Findley on the concrete floor.
- Findley tries to come back in and Koloff snaps Findley's neck across the top rope. Splash as Findley's laid across the ropes.
- The Russian Hammer by Koloff.
- The Russian Sicle by Koloff. 1-2-3.

- It's Ric Flair with Schiavone and Crockett. Flair says that he is going to be the national hero tonight that the nation needs right now. (He and Koloff are wrestling each other at the LA Coliseum.) Back to Magnum, Flair says Magnum is not ready for $500 ties, $1000 alligator shoes, or diamond-encrusted watches. Flair is incensed that Koloff would attack Flair's good friend David Crockett. Flair says that when he's done with Nikita, all that Nikita will be able to do is mow Flair's lawn.
- Schiavone congratulates his niece who got married today. Also, a 50th anniversary wish for another couple from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- Schiavone brings in Crockett to talk about the Dusty Rhodes and Tully Blanchard / Baby Doll situation. Crockett says "something is going to happen".
- We cut to a pre-recorded bit of Dusty supposedly sitting in a restaurant. Dusty is ranting and raving about barbed wire, and how he wants a barbed wire with Baby Doll suspended in the cage. David Allen Coe, Hank Williams, Charlie Daniels, blah, blah, blah....
- Buzz Sawyer vs. Jimmy Dill
- Buzz Sawyer goes right to work. Clubbing blow, hip toss, clubbing blow, hip toss, clubbing blow, hip toss.
- Knee drop, suplex, and Sawyer breaks the cover on his own.
- Bear hug, two clubbing blows, Sawyer throws him by the hair. Dill's head into the second turnbuckle.
- Dill choked on the second rope. Sawyer is calling for the Andersons.
- Dill whipped into the ropes, nice dropkick by Sawyer.
- Dill's out. Cover, Sawyer breaks the cover again.
- Punch by Sawyer.
- Gut wrench suplex by Sawyer. Cover, and Dill actually manages a weak kick out.
- Sawyer is rubbing Dill's face into the mat.
- Slap to the chest by Sawyer.
- Powerslam. 1-2-3.
- Complete squash.

- Schiavone interviews NWA/WCW World Television Champion Tully Blanchard along with "The Perfect 10" Baby Doll. Tully says he's from Texas, too, so he's ready for the barbed wire match. Tully says he's a true champion, and even though he's already beaten Dusty, he'll give Dusty another crack at it. Tully agrees to put Baby Doll in the cage, because she'll get a great view. They cut to a view of the ring from the cage...kind of interesting.
- Jim Cornette is in the ring, insulting David Crockett. He says only he is capable of introducing The Midnight Express. And so he does.
- The Midnight Express (Eaton & Condrey) with Jim Cornette vs. Dale Williams & Carry Clark
- Eaton starts out against Clark.
- Eaton with a couple quick moves, and Condrey comes in.
- Apparently, this is the Midnight Express's first time in WCW, because Crockett's never seen them wrestle before.
- Condrey is tagged in. Kick, big back breaker, and he trips over Clark on a double gut stomp.
- Another quick tag. Elbow top off the top rope by Eaton. Eaton shoves Clark into Williams to Clark can tag out.
- Williams starts off with some big slaps, but the Midnight Express turns that around during the replay of the elbow drop.
- Condrey is taking Williams apart. Eaton tagged back in. Williams keeps trying to come back, to no avail.
- More quick tags. Condrey lets Clark tag back in. Suplex, Eaton back in.
- Whip, big back elbow.
- Tag. Small package by Condrey, two count.
- Condrey working on Clark's left arm. Cornette is talking smack from ringside.
- Powerslam by Condrey.
- Eaton tagged in for a combination Schoolboy and knee to the face by The Midnight Express. Eaton gets the pin.
- Your Winners: The Midnight Express via pinfall.
- Schiavone and Crockett are very impressed by the Midnight Express, particularly by that finishing move.
- Schiavone interviews Cornette. Cornette won't shake hands because it spreads germs. Cornette makes fun of Schiavone's suit. Cornette gives a classic Cornette interview. Cornette says that he has taken over the family business.
- "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Carl Styles
- We hear the song "Cool, cool, kitty". Oh, dear God, no.
- Valiant comes over to give Schiavone a big kiss on the mouth before the match.
- In the ring, Valiant's opponent keeps charging him, only to get tripped up each time.
- Styles rolls out, and then back in.
- Eye rake by Valiant, whip, back elbow, elbow drop, 1-2-3.
- Valiant then kisses the referee on the mouth.
- Well, on the bright side, it was short.

- Schiavone interviews Dick Slater. Slater has issues with Cornette, the Andersons, and Kevin Sullivan. "Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth". Slater is annoyed is that no one is willing to sign a contract with him.
- NWA National Heavyweight Champion Black Bart vs. The Italian Stallion
- This is our featured event tonight.
- They figuratively butt heads a couple times, both of them big enough that neither gives an inch.
- Stallion with a body press for a quick cover, but Bart powers out.
- Stallion with three hip tosses. Bart's getting frustrated.
- Bart backs Stallion into the corner. Head butt to the chest and clubbing blows by Bart.
- Reversal, big back body drop, arm drags by Stallion, into an arm bar on the mat.
- It is noted by Schiavone that this a non-title match.
- Stallion holding onto the arm bar. Into the ropes, Bart with an eye rake.
- Commercial.
- Bart with head butts to various body parts. Over and over again.
- Stallion is trying to fight his way out of it, to no avail.
- Bart really is a big man...it's like he doesn't even fit in the ring.
- Stallion with little flurries of offense and a reversal here and there, but Bart keeps the beating going.
- The announcers with an interesting observation...people like Ivan Koloff and Jim Cornette react to the fans, but Black Bart totally ignores them.
- The methodical beatdown has been going on for several minutes. Stallion's left arm is useless at this point.
- Now this funny...Black Bart misses a head butt, and his head hits the turnbuckle, Italian Stallion with a flurry of offense and a powerslam. Stallion actually slides Bart over to the corner and practically picks Bart's leg up and puts it on the lower rope so that Stallion can't get the three count.
- Airplane spin by Stallion, but Bart grabs the ropes.
- Stallion with a clubberin' in the corner, but Bart grabs Stallion for a takedown and uses the ropes as leverage to get the pin.

- Schiavone interviews Jimmy Valiant. He rants and raves. Paul Jones comes out. Jones comes out to personally return the challenge to Valiant for the dog collar match. Jones says that he's not afraid. Paul Jones is dead serious, and he stares Jimmy Valiant down. Jones walks off, and Valiant is shocked by Jones' guts.
- "Ragin' Bull" Manny Fernandez vs. Kent Glover
- Arm wringers and backhand chops by Fernandez.
- Snapmare, knee by Fernandez.
- Another arm wringer, and a knee to the back.
- Arm wringer again. Hammerlock, knees to the arm on the mat.
- Glover trying to fight his way out, but Fernandez keeps the pressure on the arm.
- Fernandez is interesting...even when he sends Glover down with a backhand chop, Fernandez holds on to the arm.
- Whip, drop to the mat, and Fernandez hits the flying forearm. 1-2-3.
- Your Winner: Manny Fernandez via pinfall.
- Schiavone interviews the Sawyer brothers. No surprise, Buzz is ranting and raving, and Brett is totally calm and even. Seeing them standing next to each other, it's the first I realized how much they look alike.
- Commercial.
- Jim Cornette gets more commercial time. Cornette starts out by insulting the crowd. Awesome. Cornette goes off, talking about how great The Midnight Express is.
- Sam Houston vs. Jason Walker
- Lock up, clean break by Houston.
- Blanchard and Baby Doll are with the announcers at ringside.
- The favor is not returned by Walker
- Cartwheel and dropkick by Houston. Lots of platitudes for Houston by Blanchard.
- Some punches by Walker reversed into a back body drop by Houston, followed by another dropkick and two arm drags into an arm bar.
- Houston working on Walker's left arm.
- Walker attempts a slam, but Houston counters by holding on the arm.
- Blanchard has only good things to say about Houston.
- Some punches, back to the left arm.
- Rest hold after rest hold, which makes it easy to pay more attention to what Blanchard is saying.
- Walker punches his way out, but Houston responds in kind.
- Whip by Houston, monkey flip, knee lift, bulldog, 1-2-3.

- As Houston pins Walker, Blanchard says "I'm going to send a message to Dusty Rhodes right now". Can you see what's coming? I can....
- Blanchard storms the ring, and tosses Houston to the floor. Blanchard's whipping the bejeezus out of Houston with his belt. Dusty cames out to make the save.
- Schiavone interviews NWA US Heavyweight Champion Magnum TA. Magnum is not happy about what just happened to Houston. Magnum says that Kamala is after him. Magnum says that he's not hard to find, and there's an open contract. And Magnum is after Ric Flair's Ten Pounds Of Gold.
- American Starship Eagle vs. Mark Fleming
- This is a pre-recorded match from Greenwood SC.
- American Starship Eagle is better known as Dan Spivey.
- Fleming looks like a midget compared to Spivey.
- Fleming attempts a headlock and Spivey just picks him up and throws him.
- Arm drag, arm bar.
- Counter by Fleming, slam and arm bar by Spivey.
- Counter by Fleming, hip toss, arm drag, arm bar by Spivey. Nothing Fleming is trying is working.
- Crowd is chanting "Boring".
- Fleming bounces off two attempted tackles of Spivey. On the third attempt, Spivey puts on another arm bar.
- Fleming with some shots in the ropes. Spivey no-sells.
- Whip by Spivey, powerslam, leg drop, 1-2-3.
- Your Winner: American Starship Eagle via pinfall.
- NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Denny Brown vs. Paul Garner
- Garner's got well over half-a-foot over Brown.
- Brown takes Garner down early to negate the height advantage.
- Brown working on the mat, comes back with a suplex.
- Brown with an elbow, forearm, and another elbow. A punch, more elbows.
- Kneedrop to the chest by Brown.
- Front facelock by Brown keeping Garner down on the mat.
- Back on their feet, Garner with a brief advantage, but Brown outpunches him.
- Back down on the mat.
- Slam by Brown, knee to the head. Two count only.
- Rear chinlock on the mat by Brown.
- Whip, forearm to the chin by Brown, Oklahome Roll, 1-2-3.

- Schiavone is with Magnum TA and Manny Fernandez. Basic self-promotion interview. Magnum is literate, Fernandez not so much.
- Dick Slater vs. Nick Busick
- Mat wrestling to start. Busick is going right at him.
- Into the corner, no clean break from Slater.
- More mat wrestling.
- Back on their feet, they reengage.
- Repeated headbutts by Slater.
- Chop, front facelock on the mat by Slater, but Busick rolls on with an advantage.
- A real mat wrestling clinic with this guys.
- Slater with a big spinning neckbreaker.
- Busick whips Slater, but runs into a knee.
- Slater goes up top, elbow to the top of Busick's head, 1-2-3.

- Schiavone is back with Tully Blachard and Baby Doll. Blanchard talks about psychology. Blanchard says he is ready for the "come as you are" match. Blanchard says he has taken everything from Dusty Rhodes.
- That's it for this week.
- The Good: I'm reminded of just how freakin' cool Tully Blachard is.
- The Bad: There was no real advancement of storylines this week. It's like the show was treading water.
- The Ugly: Gosh almighty, Jimmy Valiant is ridiculous.
